“Yoga teachers are on the front line of modern society's health, and have a massive role to play in the communities they work in. Since 2011, we have empowered hundreds of people to find home and shine through the physical practices of Yin &, Hatha Yoga.”
Dhugal Meachem is a yoga edu-tainer and anatomist as well-studied in life as he is in the traditions of modern Yin and Hatha Yoga. For Dhugal, yoga is about doing your yoga your way. It’s about practicing hard so you can see what you’re capable of. It’s about being so damn comfortable being you it’s contagious.
Dhugal has traveled the world (and back!), speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, and some French, and is a lifelong student of Eastern spirituality, particularly Taoism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Yang Family Tai Chi. A former mobile tech start-up dude, he is one of only a handful of certified YogaMazé teachers globally, and continues to study anatomy rigorously with Paul & Suzee Grilley.
With his red hair, signature yellow glasses, and off the cuff cultural references, Dhugal is anything but your run of the mill yoga teacher. Think: wasabi meets haggis, pop culture meets ancient philosophy, strict meets compassion, and straight talk meets smiles. Dhugal is an endlessly curious observer, adventurer, and citizen of the world whose teacher trainings and yoga classes are a vibrant mix of reverse culture shock, Yoga & Taoist philosophy, humor, possibility, and empowerment.
Since 2011, Dhugal has helped hundreds of people around the world find home through the physical practices of modern Yin and Hatha Yoga, as well as ancient Eastern philosophy.
Dhugal offers a full 500-hour Yoga Alliance training program, broken down into five signature models: part Yin, part Yang, and part real life application. He also consults in “train the trainer programming” for yoga studios eager to set up and run their own in-house trainings worldwide.
